Irrational Fears: Separation Anxiety

Good Morning Everyone,

A few days ago the furor over President Obama's back to school speech reached my awareness, and then, this morning the news about Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during the President's speech last evening regarding health care reform.

I confess I didn't understand how anyone could oppose the President encouraging kids to make something of themselves. I recall President Kennedy's famous, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" speech. Everyone was charged with becoming their personal "best". We studied, we applied ourselves, we even did the calisthenics programs he promoted to be fit. That's what leaders do, they encourage others to become all that they can be. Watch.

Our danger lies not without, but within each individual who feels the separation from Source, God, All That Is. When we cannot feel out connection, the love that that imparts to us, we are alone, naked, scared and see out through a human mind stranded in fear. From this place we are irrational, devious, and unreasonable. We cannot hear anything of Love, for we are on the frequency of fear. Love and fear are opposite frequencies.

Make no mistake, both Democrats and Republicans alike suffer from this separation anxiety. Indeed, our whole nation suffers from it and this is what is eroding us - from the inside out.

If a man awakes every morning, conservative or liberal, and believes he lives in a malevolent world with no support, no love, no eternality, no infinite possibilites, and in an indifferent Universe, he will do anything - good man or no - to feel safe.

We are a spiritually poor nation. Organized religion has failed us, but our own efforts to reconnect with Who We Really Are individually are the route, now. The feeling of fear provokes within us a profound desire for internal peace, calm and rationality. This will guide us inward where each of us has our own, personal connection with God for comfort and Truth.

Do not have the hubris to think this doesn't include you. For if you are someone who is waging war on anything - saving the wolves, saving Tibet, saving the environment, feeling hate and anger at conservatives or liberals, then, you do not understand the Oneness of all things either.

It is each individual's job to find their personal alignment with Source daily - even moment to moment. This is unconditional Love: that external circumstances do not have to change in order for me to feel my Connection to Source. Can you say that? Can you do that? Do you even realize that is the most important awareness that you can take with you into your day?

Even Jesus wasn't in Connection 100% of the time. He got angry in the temple and overturned the money changers tables. And on the cross he is said to have cried out, "Father, why hast thou forsaken me."

If realizing out Oneness with God were easy, this world would look very different indeed. None the less, it is our quest, individually, to return home. Each prodigal is charged with this journey, for therein lies the answer to a world that is heaven on earth.

Forgiveness: Who Are WE Really Forgiving?

Good Morning Everyone,

Recently I've been brought to my wee knees in a realization that first rocked me, then relieved me. I want to share it with you.

Over the past few weeks, I've been vexed by several different situations.

One involved a dear friend, whose personal situation really made me mad. Her situation didn't affect me in anyway, shape or form, but that she found herself in her situation really angered me.

Another involved two dear friends of mine, married for a very long time, whose personal dynamic between themsevles angered me.

Then, two situations involving me, where people failed to live up to their agreements, but also failed to realize how much value I had put into the situation, ignored that, and then, demanded even more of me as if I'd given nothing.

I tell you these things, because I know that I am just like you. I walk through my days endeavoring to do my very best, to be more Godlike, to bring more love into the world and then, bam! Like Wylie Coyote, I find myself a puddle at the base of a wall wondering what the heck happened here.

The "wall" was my inability to forgive. Everyday across America we pray: "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." All of us know these words, and pray them, but today I understand them. This is what I want to share with you today.

Joel Goldsmith in his book, The Thunder of Silence, addresses forgiveness by saying that it is fundamental to forgivesomething that someone has perpetrated upon us by praying for our enemies. This is important and utterly essential if we want to see a changed world. However, the spiritual journey is about liberty and freedom. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

So the real spiritual journey is not about becoming good humans, but rather to realize our freedom. We need nothing from anyone. We release everyone from their obligations, when we realize our Oneness with Source, where everything is complete, fulfilled and whole. No one need to be or do something for our happiness.

My big Ah-Ha! this morning was that any block in consciousness is an impediment to the realization of Oneness, not just hatred or anger. The obvious blocks are :he did this to me, but I choose to forgive and turn my cheek. But that's just the beginning of the True meaning.

The rest of it is that any "judgment" on someone else: he/she didn't try hard enough, therefore didn't meet my expectations, do enough and so fell short in someway - these are seeing something other than God. This is buying into the belief of two powers, not One. This is the "lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil" part. The temptation to believe that there is anything other than God, Source, Oneness.

Now, for the explosive kicker. By the Law of Attraction, these people, situations and dramas came into my personal experience one after the other, increasing the emotion of anger within me. By last night if I could have left myself, I would have. Instead, I went for a swim in the light of the full moon and asked for illumination, which I received this morning.

These people, these circumstances came to me by the Law of Attraction. Like attracting like thoughts. These people, these circumstances are my mirror: they reflect back to me what I am thinking, believing about....me. Holy smokes.

Only once before can I recall feeling this conviction so clearly. All at once I know it is True ;and it doesn't feel good to realize that which I perceive is me. I mean, UGH!

But I pressed on this morning, because I want released from this prison of 'ugh 'that I've been feeling. I have kept myself in bondage; but the key to the prison door was in the realization that I hold these self same judgments, which I have transposed on to my friends, on myself. Oh, double ARG! And then, double Ah-HA! Relief.

So it is not just forgiving others my perception of their shortcomings after all. In Truth I am to forgive myself - releasing myself from my own judgments and condemnations of my shortcomings and failings.

Forgive me for failing to see that my human self is not, after all, Who I REally Am.

So, miraculously once I got that big twig out of my own eye, I am able to see that the human self that others show me (my own human self) is not Who They Really Are and is certainly not Who I Really Am. That I was tempted to see something other than God, in them, showed me that I am seeing something other than God in myself. It is I who have bought into the human belief of duality - something other than Source.

"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." Forgive me for failing to see my own Oneness, Who I Really Am; and forgive those who fail to see the God in me.

This is why we pray for our enemies: they are a gift to us. They are our mirror to show us our own consciousness blocks which block our own Realization of Oneness and block our liberty.

Such Perfection for which I am grateful...and now I am relieved and feel Good once again.

Thanks for reading!

When There's No Need For Memorial Day

Good Morning Everyone!

In America today is Memorial Day. We commemorate and honor our war dead. In my personal experience there are those who served in Vietnam and every war since.

Most recently is just this past week when a Seahawk helicopter went down off Coronado Island in San Diego. This has personal significance to me in that my oldest son is a helicopter pilot stationed at NAS North Island. Sometimes we think that unless they are on deployment, they are safe, But war maneuvers and trainings and preparations are the full time duty of anyone serving in the military. Five crew members were lost just last week, right here at home.

I dream of a day when there will be no more need for a war-ready nation. Fanciful, you might think, but I see it in my dreams as real. I see a world at peace with each other, co-existing in harmony and full and complete acceptance of each other - not threatened by one another. I see a world where everyone understands how we get what we get: by paying attention to what's desired.

I see a world where we know that there's plenty for everyone, and therefore we don't need to "take" what someone else is enjoying. We understand that seeing what someone else is enjoying spurs our personal desires, we dream it, we focus on it, and we create it for ourselves at no expense to anyone else.

I see a world where everyone understand that they are masterful creators of their own existence - every bit of it.

I see a world where stories of armies are old folklore and we can hardly believe that once people killed each other for land, oil, and over religious beliefs, because we understand our Oneness - we know fully who we are. We are a race of people who have evolved into the Godmind, on earth.

I see a world where we have realized Heaven on Earth. Won't you join me in this dream and create a world of plenty, joy, fulfillment for everyone? Dream it; and it is so.

Evolution of Consciousness

Hello Everyone,

I've been pondering consciousness of recent. Most specifically that America has reached a critical mass of some level that has enabled the first African-American to become our next president.

I'm fortunate to live in the country where the night sky is incredible. My nightly routine is just before bed, I go out on my deck and review my day, appreciate everything that has come my way that day and savor the feeling of contentment that all is right with the world. On one particular my thoughts then began to tick backwards to more recent history, appreciating people that had contributed to this moment: the Beatles, Timothy Leary, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Maslow, John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther, Rachel Carson, Joel Goldsmith to name but a few.

Then my mind leaped back in time even further, fueled by the fact that I had just watched the HBO series about John Adams. My mind and heart swelled with the realization that our founding fathers were inspired by a higher consciousness, so much so that they created a government that the world had never seen before.

Then I began to realize that everyone that has ever come before us, has participated in the evolution of consciousness. My parents, your grandparents, all the way back to the first upright human who had a thought of himself.

Then I realized that there is a plan, albeit a loose plan, for bringing this planet and mankind into Light and Life, back into the Conscious Realization of God.

I wish you could have taken the journey with me to feel the perfection of Life. All is well, dear readers. We now take our steps in the journey of Consciousness. Let's reach for the stars.

Black Cat (Part 2)

Hello All,

Sorry. I didn't mean to leave you hanging. Not that this is exactly and Edgar Allen Poe Tale, but still.

The Black Cat. It turns out that cat's name is POE...no kidding. He's a wild cat that sort of belongs to my neighbor. And it is Poe, as in Edgar Allen. No, I don't know why. But Poe evidently was never a "home" cat. He has always been skittery and shy of people. But I only learned this last night.

While stewing about Mr. Poe and what to "DO" about him, as I told you, I thought it was a riddle and had to be solved. So, I threw the I Ching. The I Ching gave me a very unusual hexagram. If you follow the I Ching, you will understand. I got the first hexagram, the Creative. Now you don't get that hexagram very often, I can tell you.

The Creative is the Life Force. It is virtually and "all systems go" hexagram. You're lined up with Self. You're Connected. You're in perfect balance. I was flabbergasted. I mean, you could have blown me over with a feather.

This is what I LOVE about the spiritual life. It is not seeing through human eyes with the human, conditioned mind. And that, folks, is the entire "trick". I think Jesus said something like "you're ways are not mine". It's like that.

I spent week, months, looking at this Black Cat as a "thing" that had no relationship to my life. Worrying about what to "DO" about it. Feeding it. I called the Friends of Cats. I Called the Humane Society. What to do, what to do. And he persisted, it persisted. And then I had a glimmer to see it another way. What if it is come to reflect back to me something of mySelf.

Ah ha! New Eyes. A New View. And of all things, the Creative. God. It. Me. All One. Nothing to DO!! Just a kind of friendly, hello, howdy do from the Universe. We're all ONE. Glad you figured out the Cosmic Greeting Card in the form of the Black Cat. Sending you a Love Cat. Nothing to do. Enjoy.

This morning folks, the Black Cat was not there. I got the message. I felt the Oneness. I understood. Oh what a tangent that human mind can take us on....and all along it was simply a God'OGram.

Thanks for Reading!

Human Mind vs Godmind

Good day Everyone!

In the course of a day, how many times do you think that there is a vast difference between what human mind perceives and what Godmind is?

We have been taught everything in human mind. We have been socialized, educated, homogenized.
That's why people in different regions of the planet think about things differently. We are schooled to think like our fellows, which, of course, gives rise to the many prejudices that abound.

But if in the course of life one could pause and perhaps wonder at all what Godmind thinks about this or that particular issue, then there would ensue a giant blank, a pause a quiet.

The idea of being here and growing one's soul or consciousness is to elevate it to that of Godmind. To see the highest perspective possible. That pure, high, fast frequency of love.
God includes, never excludes. It is, after all, all God. What is created outside of God is human mind. Human mind considers that there is something lacking, wrong, broken, sick, in need of.
In Godmind, there is All, the fullness thereof.

Within each and every person on the planet is that equal measure of God. That which is equal in everyone, our God-chip. That which animates and enlivens each of us. That which is the full potential of each of us. It delights in our diversity of thought. It enjoys that some like to ride horses, have sheep races, paint, poet, blast a trombone, dig in the garden, gather antiquities.
It LOVES to love. It loves to create, anything, everything.

It is for us to spiritualize the human mind, which is to say make it unafraid. The act of intending this, sitting in the quiet and allowing It to unfold within us, this is applied spirituality. Humans think of things in black and white, either/or. Godmind is AND, all inclusive with no fear.

What might this world look like if everyone knew his own sovereignty about what comes in and goes forth from his "unit". What might it all look like if we understood this law. Fear Not we are told. Then why do we doubt this? Why do we choose to believe some thing and toss others? Applied Spirituality is knowing your Oneness and in that there is no fear, no doubt, no other.

Sit, be still and receive. We are so busy "sending" or praying we never shut up long enough to hear that still small voice uttering its assurances. We are One with It, with each other. We have absolute voice in what we experience. Wouldn't you like to understand how your "unit" operates and become a black belt at your own unit? Life is skippity do dah in connection with It, in Oneness. That is everyone's sole work, no other. From there is a vista you cannot image with your human mind.

Practice. Persist. Apply. Show up for your quiet Oneness daily and just listen and receive.

Only ONE

Good Day All!

I understand now what happened when Adam and Eve ate the apple from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and why that was the "fall".

As long as they were living in the "garden of eden" they were being nourished spiritually. They were fully and completely connected to Who They Really Were. They were at One with It - God.
They knew nothing else except Well Being. There was no other "god". There was only good.

The fall was the beginning of beliving in duality, that there is something other than God, good.
It was the beginning of the belief in two things, good and evil. It was the descent out of God, good consciousness into human consciousness of something "other" than good, God.

Now we are attempting our evolution back into Light and Life. The journey is one of consciousness, not human mind.

Lost? How in the world? What is consciousness? Where do I start?

Consciousness is your TrueSelf, your GodSelf, your Inner Being. It never yells at you. It never shouts, it whispers and you FEEL it. You try a thought on and feel the content of it's Godness, goodness. If it feels good, it's from your Self. If it feels even a little bit bad, it's your human thought. We use the mind as an avenue of awareness of consciousness, the mind is not for discernment, but for carrying out the impulse of God, good consciousness.

It's not done much these days, for these are the days of the tail wagging the dog. The human mind with its body of beliefs in fear, lack and limitation are 99.9% of what we see and experience. The closest we come are those moments when we allow our hearts to lead and we step out of the human mind box and do something "irrational" like love, enjoy, forgive, attempt to see past the appearance of "evil".

Evil is nothing more than the lack of God, good consciousness. It is a state of beingness like Christ consciousness. Christ, by the way is not a person, but rather a state of consciousness that is only in Well Being, at One with It.

Jesus is someone who remembered who he really was and achieved the Christed consciousness. He never said, "worship me". He said, "Follow me". He laid the template for the movement of yours and my consciousness back into Oneness. There is only God, nothing else.

I'll stop here for today. This is BIG. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to chew on this every moment of the day and allow It, your God-chip, to show you the way.
