Forgiveness: Who Are WE Really Forgiving?

Good Morning Everyone,

Recently I've been brought to my wee knees in a realization that first rocked me, then relieved me. I want to share it with you.

Over the past few weeks, I've been vexed by several different situations.

One involved a dear friend, whose personal situation really made me mad. Her situation didn't affect me in anyway, shape or form, but that she found herself in her situation really angered me.

Another involved two dear friends of mine, married for a very long time, whose personal dynamic between themsevles angered me.

Then, two situations involving me, where people failed to live up to their agreements, but also failed to realize how much value I had put into the situation, ignored that, and then, demanded even more of me as if I'd given nothing.

I tell you these things, because I know that I am just like you. I walk through my days endeavoring to do my very best, to be more Godlike, to bring more love into the world and then, bam! Like Wylie Coyote, I find myself a puddle at the base of a wall wondering what the heck happened here.

The "wall" was my inability to forgive. Everyday across America we pray: "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." All of us know these words, and pray them, but today I understand them. This is what I want to share with you today.

Joel Goldsmith in his book, The Thunder of Silence, addresses forgiveness by saying that it is fundamental to forgivesomething that someone has perpetrated upon us by praying for our enemies. This is important and utterly essential if we want to see a changed world. However, the spiritual journey is about liberty and freedom. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

So the real spiritual journey is not about becoming good humans, but rather to realize our freedom. We need nothing from anyone. We release everyone from their obligations, when we realize our Oneness with Source, where everything is complete, fulfilled and whole. No one need to be or do something for our happiness.

My big Ah-Ha! this morning was that any block in consciousness is an impediment to the realization of Oneness, not just hatred or anger. The obvious blocks are :he did this to me, but I choose to forgive and turn my cheek. But that's just the beginning of the True meaning.

The rest of it is that any "judgment" on someone else: he/she didn't try hard enough, therefore didn't meet my expectations, do enough and so fell short in someway - these are seeing something other than God. This is buying into the belief of two powers, not One. This is the "lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil" part. The temptation to believe that there is anything other than God, Source, Oneness.

Now, for the explosive kicker. By the Law of Attraction, these people, situations and dramas came into my personal experience one after the other, increasing the emotion of anger within me. By last night if I could have left myself, I would have. Instead, I went for a swim in the light of the full moon and asked for illumination, which I received this morning.

These people, these circumstances came to me by the Law of Attraction. Like attracting like thoughts. These people, these circumstances are my mirror: they reflect back to me what I am thinking, believing about....me. Holy smokes.

Only once before can I recall feeling this conviction so clearly. All at once I know it is True ;and it doesn't feel good to realize that which I perceive is me. I mean, UGH!

But I pressed on this morning, because I want released from this prison of 'ugh 'that I've been feeling. I have kept myself in bondage; but the key to the prison door was in the realization that I hold these self same judgments, which I have transposed on to my friends, on myself. Oh, double ARG! And then, double Ah-HA! Relief.

So it is not just forgiving others my perception of their shortcomings after all. In Truth I am to forgive myself - releasing myself from my own judgments and condemnations of my shortcomings and failings.

Forgive me for failing to see that my human self is not, after all, Who I REally Am.

So, miraculously once I got that big twig out of my own eye, I am able to see that the human self that others show me (my own human self) is not Who They Really Are and is certainly not Who I Really Am. That I was tempted to see something other than God, in them, showed me that I am seeing something other than God in myself. It is I who have bought into the human belief of duality - something other than Source.

"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." Forgive me for failing to see my own Oneness, Who I Really Am; and forgive those who fail to see the God in me.

This is why we pray for our enemies: they are a gift to us. They are our mirror to show us our own consciousness blocks which block our own Realization of Oneness and block our liberty.

Such Perfection for which I am grateful...and now I am relieved and feel Good once again.

The Fear Pandemic: Choose Fear or Well Being

Good Morning Everyone,

Well, here we go again. Yet another thing to be afraid of: swine flu. Geez.

To my thinking, the pandemic is fear.

The question is: Are you buying in? That's the only thing that really matters.

Listen for one minute with your mind in today's world to words of wisdom and Connectedness from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in his first inaugural address.

Since Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and that little drama, we have had the choice of focusing on fear or Well Being. We call it good and evil; by any name it is the clear choice to focus on what is Well - Good - God.

The temptation is always to believe human-mind over Godmind. This is where you get to choose to apply your spirituality - your Life Force - your Attention - your consciousness. Because wherever you freely choose to focus is what you will indeed get more of; it's Law.

People wonder why bad things happen to good people. It's because they believe in the duality - something other than God and Well Being. Focused there, you get to create anything you want here on Earth, including your own demise.

You, me, we all are Creators of our own every day, moment to moment reality. We do it by the Laws of Physics. This Law is the Law of Attraction which says that thoughts are vibrational and the more you think them, the more they matter - become matter - become manifest and real in your reality.

It's time to become the Spiritual Beings that we are right here, right now in the physical and take responsibiliy: it's not hocus pocus the way we create, it's physics, because we are physical creatures in a physical world and a physical universe. Where we are focused is what we get.

Turn off the television, stop watching the news, and get yourself reconnected with your own Godchip guiding you to your Good at every moment.

All is truly well, if you are focused on Well Being. Look for the Good - it's full.

Becoming A Selective Sifter of Information

Good Day Everyone,

Today is part 2 in becoming the master of your own reality. Today we're going to talk about becoming a selective sifter of all the information that comes your way.

How do you know what to pay attention to and what to let fall through the sifter. Good question and very good to master.

First of all, the most important thing is to be tuned in to your internal guidance system. This is otherwise experienced by you as your gut. When you are taking in information from any source, friend, family, CNN, the newspaper, your IGS will be monitoring it for its relevance to you. Specifically, it will be monitoring your focus for things that are for your GOOD. That is its job. It is constantly telling you by how you feel if what you are focused on is on the path for your GOOD.

This is because your IGS is your Godchip and is always in Well Being and living out the results of your desires - It is actually enjoying your dreams already. So there's your IGS skipity doo dahing in your dreams and fantasies, having a really GOOD time.

Now, let's say say your fantasy dream is that you want to be wealthy, prosperous, and financial stable. Your IGS is already experiencing the FEELING of that success, your very dream come true. You, however, are glued to the financial news on CNN watching the Dow plummet, you're reading everything you can about the banks failures and who's to blame. You FEEL your stomach turn sour, your neck is tight, a migraine is coming on. Those FEELINGS are your IGS NOT joining you in those thoughts. In other words, you are feeling the pain of that gap between your human mind focus/thoughts and your Godchip, which is in complete and utter fulfillment of your desire. That gap, the absence of GOOD (your Godchip), does not feel good to you.

Now, let's say you have that same desire for wealth, prosperity, and financial stability. You now focus yourself on stories of people that have achieved financial prosperity, their methods and strategies, or you simply imagine how wonderful it would feel to be there. The longer your focus is on the success of what you are desiring, the better you feel. New ideas join these thoughts, as you feel that success more and more. That you feel GOOD is telling you that you are closing that gap between your human mind and your Godchip who is living that success and its fulfillment.

Ok. Now it's every day life, you're going about your day and you have the radio on. The news comes on and it's about some doom story. What do you do? You change the channel. You find something that feels GOOD to you. Try on some up beat music and sing along or find a talk show that FEELS good to you, or better still, turn it off and CHOOSE some thought that raise your vibration.

Now let's say you've paid for a seminar and the lecturer goes off on a tangent describing to you all manner of traumatic failures, because these people just didn't follow his advice. What do you do? You have several choices: 1.) you can go to the bathroom and come back when he starts talking about positive stuff; 2.) you can tune out, write a letter to your sweetheart and tune back in when he gets to the GOOD stuff; 3.) you can listen and simultaneously edit saying things to yourself like, "This is only true for someone who places his authority in you, buddy, not me. I know about the Law of Attraction and I know that I control my vibration."

In absolutely everything in every minute of your day you have to be aware of how you are feeling. If someone in the break room is talking about how miserable he/she is or how sick someone is, or whatever misery is being hashed out, you get to LEAVE. You have the freedom, the right and the responsibility to change your mind and not be available for vibrations that do not FEEL GOOD to you.

It is very simple: garbage in yields garbage out. You don't have to voice anything to anybody; that is not your job. Your job is your vibration and your control is over your focus. Have some standard comments ready such as, "You know what, I just remembered, I have to make a call. If you'll excuse me." Or "I'll be back...." The point is you have made a choice FOR yourself, not against them, so you have no judgment about what they are talking about, all you know is, it's not for you.

My personal favorite, "Gotta Go!"

These are dramatic times that offer the perfect opportunity to become a very selective sifter of the data that comes in to you. These times are perfect for becoming the master of your focus and teaching yourself that you are, indeed, in complete control of how you FEEL. Master this, and you've pretty much mastered your life.

Next week we'll talk about what to focus on.

Remember, apply, apply, apply. It doesn't work if you don't use it.

Thanks for reading!

8 Steps to Changing Your Focus

Good Morning Everyone,

We're going to work on deliberate focus today and perhaps for a few weeks to come.

I know, the news is really competing for your focus and attention, big time. You almost can't avoid it, unless you put yourself into a cave. But we're not advocating that. What we're going to be doing over the next few weeks is showing you how to be the one to choose your own focus and therefore your own vibration and how to be a selective sifter of the information that you are viewing. We're NOT going to let the time and tides dictate your vibration. You get to choose.

This is going to take application and practice on your part for it to be effective in your life. The point of this, is to feel good, keep feeling good and optimistic, and to keep moving forward in the goals and projects you have in process and or to help you choose your new direction and focus and stay consistently and deliberately focused on what you choose.

So let's get started.

Let's begin with the headlines of any news media. Today for example, on Yahoo, it is all about the
Dow. And they give you just enough information to set your teeth on edge. Thanks, right?

Ok. What can you do with that information? Here's what I recommend:

1. You can simply bless the information. A sort of "thanks for sharing" type of thing. This is not getting yourself involved in it or reading any further; yet it probably still rankles and causes you some level of concern. You feel some dis-ease. What we want to do is change that dis-ease, into something that feels better to you right then and there.

2. So you feel that knot in your stomach and acknowledge it as fear. You might say to yourself, "This is scary." "I'm worried." or anything similar. What is important is to truly feel that feeling and acknowledge it. "Yep, I'm scared about this economic thing. I'm worried about what this could mean for my family, my job, etc." Be specific. Be clear. Be Truthful with yourself.

3. Now. Breathe deeply. Do it again. Breathe deeply. Again, if you need to to calm, even a tad.

4. Now you're going to reach for some better feeling thoughts about this. You might say things like, "In the past, things have gone up and down, and they always work out." or "There are lots of ways for money to come to me, my job is only one way, out of an infinite number of ways."
or "Isn't this interesting. I'm wondering if now just might be the time for me to follow that hunch I had the other day with respect to..." or "I know that my good is at play." You keep reaching for thoughts that ease that knot in your stomach. When you find it, and you can viscerally and literally feel the ease and relief, you've just changed your vibration on that subject.

5. Now you stabilize yourself there. Breathe in deeply. Relax into the new, better feeling place.

6. Now count your blessings. Let's tally up all the "haves" in your life. And I mean ALL of your "haves". You have your health, you have access to Internet, you have .....and keep on going. Do this every single day without repeating anything twice.

7. Now feeling better, choose deliberately to turn your focus of attention - your nuclear Source Energy - to what feels correct and right and fun for you to proceed with today, and give it your Full Focus. Is it your new book? Is it a new customer? You know where your good is, so follow it. Don't be tempted to look at the ick. It has nothing to do with you, unless you make it so.

8. Don't look back. Remember the story of Lot's wife who was turned into a pillar of salt when she looked back? Well, don't do it. Keep looking forward and upward. Keep working on that thought until it has become really positive and you have no fear about the subject of this economic turmoil.

These are the times when we are challenged to NOT look at all the icky stuff, but rather keep our eyes focused on what we desire to create, not what is. This is applied spirituality in action.

Next blog...being a selective sifter.

Why Bad Things Happen to Good People

Good Morning Everyone,

Just this morning I had a call from one of my best friends. On Friday she and her husband left for vacation from the Eastern Sierras in California to enjoy three weeks in the Pacific Northwest. But by Saturday afternoon they turned back home. They had a call that Oak Creek which borders the Mount Whitney Fish Hatchery in Independence, CA had jumped its banks as a torrent of flood water and mud oozed its way through the Hatchery where they live. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-landslide15-2008jul15,0,6405307.story
http://mammothlakesvillage.com/blog/?p=580

My friend's husband is the Fish and Game Warden for the Bishop area and as such their housing is at the Hatchery. My friend recently retired from California State Parks.

When they arrived home, they surveyed the damage: their house itself was still intact albeit with 3' of mud piled up against the back side of the house. The garage and storage shed, however, that were along the banks of the Oak Creek were gone. Their 5th wheel was wrapped around a tree some distance from the house; the car buried in mud past the tires, and the truck damaged by the moving 5th wheel. His classic Harley, which he's had since high school has not yet been found. All his tools, history.

The reasons I write this story today is essentially this: He is a constant worrier. He frets about everything and often walks about in a state where one does not dare to tread.
A really wonderful, stand up guy, he thinks about the worst and keeps himself in a negative internal state most of his waking hours.

By contrast, his wife, is someone who sees the magic in everything, looks for the good and always finds it.

In this scenario, essentially all the losses in this event were his. The house and her items are untouched; literally everything that is "his" is gone.

I saw things like this after the Cedar Fire here in San Diego in 2003. When I returned after having been evacuated for a week, I drove and walked the areas just marveling at how it burnt this, but not that. The only conclusion I could come to was the vibrational countenace of those involved.

I speak from the vantage point of personal experience and personal observation. The year before the Cedar Fire, my trailer on my property blew up all by itself. Even the arson squad could not determine a cause. Accidental to be sure, but they couldn't identify the source for certain. In my own mind, I could. It was my vibration, as I had wished for a new life. I was miserable. Well, I got it.

When the Cedar Fire blew threw my neighborhood four times and less than a year later, and after I had moved back onto my property in a new 5th wheel, my new trailer was untouched. I had my answer. In that year from the time my trailer burnt down to the Cedar Fire, I had spent a lot of time doing my own inner work, raising my own vibrational countenance on many, many issue. When I saw how the Cedar Fire had literally burned just around my trailer and took everything else, I knew that this "vibrational" stuff was absolutely True.

As my friend described the damages to me this morning, I saw the pattern and asked her, "So, you, per se, are literally unscathed in this event?" "Yes," she replied. "And it's mostly his loss?" Again, "Yes."

Bad things happen to good people because they focus themselves on the negative. Your attention to a subject invites it into your experience. If you walk around in fear that bad things happen, they will.

I thought this story would illustrate it more than another "theory" talk. Two people, married, living in the same household. She holds her vibration to the Good. He holds his vibration to the negative and keeps himself in that state of worry.

Which will you do? Your choice, totally.

Thanks for reading!
