Irrational Fears: Separation Anxiety

Good Morning Everyone,

A few days ago the furor over President Obama's back to school speech reached my awareness, and then, this morning the news about Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during the President's speech last evening regarding health care reform.

I confess I didn't understand how anyone could oppose the President encouraging kids to make something of themselves. I recall President Kennedy's famous, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" speech. Everyone was charged with becoming their personal "best". We studied, we applied ourselves, we even did the calisthenics programs he promoted to be fit. That's what leaders do, they encourage others to become all that they can be. Watch.


Our danger lies not without, but within each individual who feels the separation from Source, God, All That Is. When we cannot feel out connection, the love that that imparts to us, we are alone, naked, scared and see out through a human mind stranded in fear. From this place we are irrational, devious, and unreasonable. We cannot hear anything of Love, for we are on the frequency of fear. Love and fear are opposite frequencies.

Make no mistake, both Democrats and Republicans alike suffer from this separation anxiety. Indeed, our whole nation suffers from it and this is what is eroding us - from the inside out.

If a man awakes every morning, conservative or liberal, and believes he lives in a malevolent world with no support, no love, no eternality, no infinite possibilites, and in an indifferent Universe, he will do anything - good man or no - to feel safe.

We are a spiritually poor nation. Organized religion has failed us, but our own efforts to reconnect with Who We Really Are individually are the route, now. The feeling of fear provokes within us a profound desire for internal peace, calm and rationality. This will guide us inward where each of us has our own, personal connection with God for comfort and Truth.

Do not have the hubris to think this doesn't include you. For if you are someone who is waging war on anything - saving the wolves, saving Tibet, saving the environment, feeling hate and anger at conservatives or liberals, then, you do not understand the Oneness of all things either.

It is each individual's job to find their personal alignment with Source daily - even moment to moment. This is unconditional Love: that external circumstances do not have to change in order for me to feel my Connection to Source. Can you say that? Can you do that? Do you even realize that is the most important awareness that you can take with you into your day?

Even Jesus wasn't in Connection 100% of the time. He got angry in the temple and overturned the money changers tables. And on the cross he is said to have cried out, "Father, why hast thou forsaken me."

If realizing out Oneness with God were easy, this world would look very different indeed. None the less, it is our quest, individually, to return home. Each prodigal is charged with this journey, for therein lies the answer to a world that is heaven on earth.

The Democratic National Convention: All the Right Things for All the Right Reasons

Hello Everyone,

Wow, talk about an inspirational week! I was simply captivated by the Democratic National Convention. Not by the words, but by the energy. Hopeful, positive, uplifting and determined.
Yeah! Doing and saying all the right things; for all the right reasons - it feels Good.

By the way, I was able to watch it on my laptop! After downloading a few things, I watched right from the DNCC site. This, as you know, because I don't have commercial television access.

I wrote somethings down while I was listening:
Jesse Jackson, Jr. said something cool, "What Unites us is greater that what divides us." Well said, Jesse! And that thing that unites us is...our Godchip. Same for each of us, and in equal measure.

"We are all called to a better country." Ted Kennedy. We certainly are. We deserve a better country, and we can make it happen, to be sure

"The Dream Lives On." Ted Kennedy. It's the dream we all dreamed before we came in, the dream of knowing the abundance we already live in, remembering Who We Really Are right here, right now, to choose again what is next and create in Love.

Claire McCaskill, "Anyone can accomplish anything!" Of course. We are God having a physical experience. Once we learn to focus that Source energy with persistent focus, we got it!

Michelle Obama, "We listened to our hopes instead of our fears; we started dreaming, instead of doubting." Like Rip Van Winkle, John and Jane Does across America are awakening from their slumber. The distant strains of a very familiar tune are stirring deep within. "Yes, I AM."

Barack Obama says with "hard work and sacrifice" we can do anything. Almost, Barack, try this one on:

with our consistent and persistent focus of our individual and collective Source Energy we can create the Dream into our physical Reality: heaven right here, on Earth.

By Jove, I think we're starting to get IT! We're beginning to apply our Spirits - consciously!

I Want, I Want, I Want

Good Morning Everyone!

A glorious day, again, here in the mountains of San Diego County. I hope you are enjoying summer, as well.

This morning I was reading the NY Times online (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/16/us/politics/16populist.html?th&emc=th). The lead story is about Economic Populism. In short, that the middle class are not fairing as well in the new global economy. I watch politics and economics closely. What I see is that we are being asked to adjust, shift, and recreate ourselves again and again. Naturally if you are trying to cling to a job out of safety, you're going to find this "go with the flow" method pretty upsetting.

My Dad worked for one company for over 35 years. I truly believe this era is over. But still, I see that he is still moving fluidly even into his 80's. Whilst he was working we moved 5 times as he promoted. Being fluid, being willing to change and grow and expand. At 80 he decided to take on the computer and the internet. Being fluid, willing to change, grow and expand.

My Dad is a study in Applied Spirituality, although he wouldn't say so. But even as I write this he is spear-heading a new move for he and my Mom, to an independent living residence giving up their home for....more freedom. Yep. More freedom, more joy, more quality time together.

In the beginning I first joined the Republican Party because they stood for less government, more individual responsibility and more government at the state and local levels. In my translation it was that we were capable of governing ourselves. The Democrats stood for "taking care" of the people, which pretty much translated into more taxes, more public programs and "helping those who couldn't help themselves."

I am now an Independent, and loathe to talk politics because it becomes all about manipulation and not about "true" movement. So right here I will depart from a political discussion.

We each are creating 100% of our own experience 100% of the time. Not many people want to hear that, because it's pretty scary to think we create the bad stuff, too. But when you begin to get a glimmer of how this Universe works, how we are each one and integral part complete with our own "godkit", then the question becomes one of how do I understand how to influence and change my world? Ah, now you've got the question and hopefully the bug to know more, seek more....

If you came to planet earth for safety, you came to the wrong place. This is a place of infinite choice, myriad opportunities, and each step is made by how it feels. If not having enough money doesn't feel good, we launch a desire to all of heaven for support to "show me the way". Now having launched that question, you're going to get an answer....change jobs, study for the promotion, maybe launch that idea of yours into a new business. None of those choices includes safety and all of them include the willingness to be fluid, change, create, grow and expand.

It is the nature of this Universe, this Earth, and you as an integral part of it and made of the same stuff to grow and expand. If you resist, deny, put on the old mule routine...I won't, I won't, I won't....well then, it's gonna hurt. It's going to hurt your physicality and biology, it's going to hurt mentally and emotionally and most of all your GodSelf is going to head north into fun and plenty whilst you remain in lack and lament.

Frank Capra was the most illuminated film maker of the last century. Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, A Beautiful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washinton. Dig them out, order them, watch them, understand what his point was in every movie. The common ordinary man, you and me, John and Jane Doe are each God here having a physical experience. Once you personally understand the fullness of that statement - we are each God here having a physical experience - well then, now what the heck do you need Congress for?

When men search for God, they are searching for everything. When they find God, they have found everything. [The Urantia Book, p. 1289, par. 2]

And when you find God within YOU, you lack nothing, you are FULL. Now all you have to do is release it out from within into your experience. For the consciousness you have, is the consciousness you are currently experiencing. Don't like what you have? Check it out, it's your consciousness reflecting to you where you are. Raise that consciousness and watch the external change....at your will. Because you were....willing to grow, expand and change.

Just One - Again

Recently a friend sent me a link to a site that keeps statistics on illegal immigrants.
Evidently we have added this to our list of things to fight against. What keeps popping up in my mind is, "Don't we ever get it?"

Prohibition didn't for one minute stop the flow of alcohol. The war on drugs hasn't stopped the flow of drugs. The war on...anything...doesn't stop it. In fact, by the Law of Attraction - what you focus on you get more of.

As Americans how have we become so afraid? We're afraid of everything! There's not enough of this, there's not enough of that, they cause this, they do that....Hold on. Hold on!

We are dancing in every dance we don't like. They may be sick waltzes, tired tangos, or frightening foxtrots, but we are a partner in every dance, as well. How about we take a look at OUR part in all these awful dramas? We agree to be afraid. We have agreed to focus on the fear. We have been mesmerized into believing we are victim to whatever comes down the pike. POSH!

We have infinite choices of where to focus our thoughts. The "contrast" - that is to say the thing that causes alarm - is useful because it immediately causes us to know in that moment what we want. And ultimately what we all want, bottom line, every time is to be free of fear - to be free.

So, take hold of yourself America! Take charge of those thoughts. When you find yourself agreeing with someone on CNN who is fear mongering, shake yourself loose!
Think a new thought. Turn the darn thing off and try to imagine a world where everyone has enough! Imagine Mexico prosperous and filled with plenty, her people full and happy. Imagine all the peoples of the world this way. Start creating a thought stream that others can "catch" in consciousness. Dare to be different. Dare to think and imagine it all differently.

Each thought put into a new vision is like one more brick in the edifice. Eventually enough people thinking the "plenty" thoughts and ways will emerge to create abundance where now there is the appearance of lack.

In the last election the Democrats failed because they had no vision of their own. They spent all their "energies" pushing against the Republican ticket, policies and administration. Wasted energies, terribly wasted. To win one must have a vision. And the vision must be something of joy and fulfillment, imagination and transformation. It must feel good. Barrack Obama understands this innately.

Besides, dwelling on all the negative that is unending does your own biology absolutely no good whatsoever. Your body doesn't deserve your negative thoughts. So try this for a week? Notice the contrast (negative thought, idea, etc.) Now. Stop. Choose again. I choose to think about a solution that is lovely for everyone, that includes everyone...I am going to imagine that good old American Ingenuity means we can come up with wonderful solutions for everyone if we reach to our God-chips.

I think Jesus told us to "love our neighbors as ourselves" and "turn the other cheek" and "pray for our enemies". We can only do this sincerely if we can begin to catch the idea that "they" are "we".
