Chicago: A City Full of Life

Good Day Everyone!

I just took a weekend getaway to Chicago. Wow, what an amazing city! If ever I was going to live the "city" experience, it would be in Chicago.

Years ago I did a marketing gig for the Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton hotels in the dead of winter in Chicago. What I remember most about that week there was Walter Peyton's Americas Bar and Grill and dancing until about 3:00 am at which point they rolled out a free breakfast so everyone would go home sober. What struck me about that, and the whole city for that matter, was it's big heart.

Going to Chicago is like getting a giant hug.

I drove from Cleveland via the Ohio Turnpike, the Indiana Turnpike and the Chicago Skyway. Some $21.00 in tolls later, I was just in time for rush hour traffic. But hark! These people are even lovely on the freeway. Unlike Los Angeles or even my beloved San Diego, if you turn on your signal to change lanes, Chicagoans don't speed up to block you out. No siree. They actually allow you to get in front of them with a graceful hand gesture which seems to say, "Be my guest, please."

Whoever designed the rail system, the "L", in Chicago was a genius. You can get anywhere you want to go from the distant suburbs and local neighborhoods. It's fabulous. And guess what else? They're clean, graffiti-free, safe and fun to ride. Who woulda thunk?

Whilst there I was able to catch the musical, Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. That, too, was superb. They replicated the sounds of Frankie Valli so much so that at first I thought they might be lip-syncing. I haven't enjoyed a show so much since Mama Mia.

I strolled about Millenium Park, went to the old Library which is now the Chicago Cultural Center. This building is absolutely magnificent and made me wish that I'd been able to come here when it was the functioning library. It's inspiring and beautiful. It sports two Tiffany domes and on the walls and ceilings are myriad mosaics with encouragements for knowledge and books.

Whilst at the Cultural Center, I was able to see an exhibit of journalist cartoonist John T McCutcheon (1879-1949). He was talented, insightful, and his cartoons dealt with many of the same issued we wrestle with even today. However, I was particularly charmed by this cartoon advertising a card game as a "Volcano of Excitement and Laughter".

Then I went on to walk Millennium Park where people were out strolling, playing, and generally enjoying the day outside without any complaint about weather, temperature, or anything. They were happy!

Chicago is a fabulous town rich in history and with a good sense of humor and a large heart. It combines successfully all the benefits of a big city with the authenticity of Real Life. There is Love in abundance flowing in this town which is evident by the way it feels. It seems to say, "Welcome!"

Conservatism: A New View

Good Day Good People!

I just ran across this Youtube clip of young Jonathan Krohn as he addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference 2009. Please watch the clip first, then read on.

Wow, right? I love watching this young man. He's full of Life and passion; he's intelligent and most of all - he's thoughtful.

I remember being his age. I remember listening to the world's version of things and then chewing them over within my own mind. I would turn over phrases and search out meanings, then synthesize them into a new, higher reality. I'm still doing it; it's my favorite thing to do.

Johnathan is a purist. He has touched the heart of conservatism with his words, because they ring True. As I listened to him, I too, recalled why I first joined the Republican party. Johnathan talks about Conservatism being principled-based. Actually he speaks of 4 principles: 1.) respect for the constitution; 2.) respect for life; 3.) less government; and 4.) personal responsibility (my favorite).

I think he's absolutely correct in his ideal assessment of Conservatism. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the Republican Party actually reflected those principles? I think it can, but more to the point, if everyone espoused these principles personally, there wouldn't be a need for any political party. These principles are written in every heart, conservatives, liberals, and every other party.

Johnathan's careful thoughts about the perfection of Conservatism show me a Light Being who is attempting to lead the party back to Truth.

Who doesn't respect the Constitution? Who doesn't respect Life? Who wouldn't like to see less government? And here's the big one - who isn't FOR personal responsibility? Let's see. Most of our laws are based on someone else's responsibility for our troubles. Lawyers make their life profession getting others to shoulder the blame for co-creative events. Insurance companies trade in tragedy.

Somehow when the human mind starts interpreting these principles, we get farther and farther away from Truth.

A raising of our consciousness into a higher Truth is what is required for not just the conservatives, but all Americans in order to change the face of America as we know it today.

Once the human mind, based in fear and lack, and separated from Source (Godmind), begins its machinations in everyday events, the politics return, the greed abounds, and self interest reigns.

Self responsibility means the government stays out of my personal life decisions. I get to decide if I want an abortion or what church, if any, I want to attend; and I get to experience for myself the consequences of my choices; because then, and only then, can I feel my way to my next desire.

Respect for life means I see Life in all things, I nurture it. I don't dump toxic wastes into the oceans or allow chemicals into the food and water supplies because it makes for a better bottom line on the balance sheet lest I disappoint the investors. Respect for Life means I don't go to war to solve the nation's problems, but I find another way. And I certainly don't espouse the death penalty if I respect Life.

If I respect the Constitution, I don't suspend civil liberties because of the acts of a few. And if I believe in less government, I don't create the Department of Homeland Security and hope they will "protect" me from evil.

Applied Spirituality is knowing Who You Really Are. You are Source. You are sovereign. You, by your focus, direct and create every incident in your life without exception. This is the ultimate understanding of self responsibility.

The gap between what Johnathan Krohn knows in his heart and the practice in the world is what a higher consciousness closes. When I was a girl and would say things from my young, wise and knowing heart, the world would say to me, "You're a dreamer, an idealist."

Thank Heaven idealist and dreamers are still coming up in the ranks to take our place to keep Truth alive. It thrills this heart to see that Truth is alive and bursting within this young man.

Stay the course Johnathan. Don't let them ever talk you out of your knowing.

These Are My People; This is My President; This is My Country

Hello Everyone!

It is the night before the Inauguration. I, who have not watched television for some 19 years now spent a bit of time today hooking up to C-Span online so as not to miss this moment of our time.

I feel as though I have lived long enough to see the change begun that I intended when I incarnated to planet Earth. For so many long years, I along with many, many others have held the space for the awakening of Mankind. It has begun, much as the gong that went off in 1968 signaling a huge paradigm shift. Now, our desire is of a critical mass, and we are on our way, all of us, to Light and Life and living in a consciousness of Oneness with our Source.

I've included in this blog some wonderful and fun videos of Us. We are the hope of the world, you know. We are the stewards of Freedom and Democracy. We are about to create anew visions and definitions. Tonight, it feels like Christmas Eve to me: pregnant with Infinite Potential. All Good things are possible, now - even probably.

The work ahead of us is huge, but we will accomplish this metamorphosis one moment at a time, one consciousness at a time. Each of us has an important Chip, our individual Godchip, to contribute to this Change.

This man, our President, Barack Obama, cannot accomplish this on his own. He can inspire us to become more of Who We Really Are; to contribute our Best Self to the Whole. As we become, each of us individually, more connected with our Self, we lend our Source Energy to All Mankind, not just to America, but to the World and inspire others to become their Best Selves, as well.

If this were easy, it would have been accomplished before now. But now, Wow. Now we desire It - our Connection - our Good - the Flow of Source on this dear planet, Earth.

Let us allow, let us become, let us unfold our Brilliance for all to see and experience. Let us contribute the Best of Who We Really Are in everything that we do. Amen.

You're A Natural

Good Evening Everyone,

I'm late in writing my blog today because we had WEATHER here in San Diego County. Yep. Rain. Real Rain. Wow. I love it when we finally get real weather here. After the past two weeks of Indian Summer, this is wonderful. I actually think we got at least an inch, maybe more. And up here in the mountains we got the "chunky rain". Yahoo! I confess I didn't want to be down in my office, but rather upstairs with my fireplace going. So, that's what I did.

I've been taking marketing classes from two fabulous guys, Gino Niccoli and Terry Duff of the Dream Team. Tonight's call was the Mindset Class which Gino teaches. Always his class is mind stretching. But you know what, I think more than that, it's the stuff we all want to talk about and chew on everyday, but human life just gets in the way of it. It's the old time talking about philosophy, and spirituality, and how it all comes together here in the physical. I LOVE that stuff. That, is Applied Spirituality. I wrote Gino that we'd lived parallel lives. I love meeting a kindred spirit, curious, alive, and generous of spirit to share with others what we've figured out.

Tonight I want to address a common misconception: humans are lazy. No way. Remember that we've been "humanized", that is to say we've been acculturated, socialized, religionized and propagandized since we got here. And everything "they" told us was based on "them" getting the same brain wash. Rub-a-dub dub. The problem with the "education" we all received was that it was based on a huge fat lie, the one that believes we are separated from Source. It's the Biggest Fib ever told. It's our belief. And really, folks, absolutely everything that has come since has been based on that one. Now. Just now the Truth is surfacing into mainstream consciousness. Just now we are finding ourselves on the cutting edge of that new thought. We are neanderthals in learning and realizing our oneness. Still many obstacles are to be met along this path. Some of you will meet up with religious obstacles. Some of you with socialized obstacles, i.e. entitlements.
Others will find some twig to stumble over like God and Science aren't the same thing. But keep your intentions for Truth and Freedom (remember the Truth WILL set you free) in your cross hairs at all times.

I remember throwing my hands heavenward in about the year 1990 and saying "that's it. I don't want to hear about God from anyone ever again. I'll hear It for myself or I won't." That's when the magic happened. I turned to ME. Not the human me, Kath, but rather the Infinite, God-chip Me. The I AM of me. You will turn inward too, eventually. You can't help but. You are IT's tractor beam. You may turn Within when the doctor says, "I can't help you." You may turn Within when your finances bring you to your knees. You may turn to your I AM when your life is out of control. You may turn Within when a disaster hits. You can go quietly and eagerly and deliberately and gently....my personal choice, although that's not how I did it. Or you can go when you're on your knees and the 2x2 that hit you in the head twenty years ago is now a 12x12. But you will go Within and find the most Natural part of you. That part of you that is and has always been your inalienable Self. Remember, oh please, remind yourself that all are created equal = that's the God-chip. That's the You of You. That, dearest, is Who You Really Are.

It won't shout welcome home, but you'll feel it like a lover's whisper on your cheek.

It's only Natural.

With Life

Today it's good afternoon almost evening...

When I speak before audiences, one of my favorite speeches is about the Love-Angstrom Meter. It's an invention of my own imagination that would measure the amount of LIFE in something.

We would have Love-Angstrom Meters hooked up to our TV screens. We would have a Love-Angstrom Meter in every emergency room at every hospital. In fact, it would be like the metal detectors at the airport. You'd have to pass through that in order to get into the emergency room. What it would tell them is how much LIFE are you allowing to flow through your beingness.

The Love Angstrom Meter would also measure - as you might guess - the amount of Truth in something, the amount of Love in something, the Quality of Life moving through someone or something or words, even our creations.

We might even have wrist versions of this little gizmo for a quick Self check-up.
After meditating in the morning you might be registering a healthy 87%. After traveling through rush hour traffic you might notice you've dipped to 47% and feeling pretty lousy. So you pop outside to take a break, breathe some fresh air, empty your mind and voila, you're back at 85%. Pretty good to go back into work and add some LIFE into your project.

The thing is, we already are equipped with a Love Angstrom Meter, each and every one of us. IT's that God-chip we all have in common. It is constantly registering to us the Love and Life and Truth content of everything we come in contact with. It's vibrating wildly in rapturous joy when we're playing with the cat, drawing at our art table, singing songs, all the things we love to do.

And it is most conspicuous by it's ABSENCE (which feels lousy) when we're about doing things, saying things, seeing things, focusing on things, people, places and thoughts that have No LIFE in them. Dead. Dying. Lifeless. Our Spirit is a long ways off while we insist on keeping our proverbial hand on the hot stove. (Who the heck taught us that this was a good thing?)

My cat, Woody, is curled up right next to my laptop as I am writing this, and he's purring away like a motor boat. I'm thinking he's loving the vibration of these words and glad I'm doing what I love to do. But then, often, I've sensed from him a complete puzzlement as I'm laboring with something I hate or moaning about something. He pretty much is NOT present for those kinds of vibrations out of me.

Love and Life love to be around Love and Life. And what I know is, the absence of Love is always painful to us. Why? Because this is WHO WE REALLY ARE. Love. Life. Goodness. God.

We feel best when we are congruent with these High, Fast and Pure Frequencies. And we feel lousy or sick when our human mind - devoid of Self - is calling the shots.

How do we use our built-in Love-Angstrom Meter to navigate the "real world"? We notice how we feel.When we are allowing It, it feels good and things go well and easily, serendipity time. When we are resisting It, blocking it, it feels bad and things in the "real world" are usually going from bad to worse.

How can we DO (apply) this? We relax. We breathe. We hold thoughts like anything good is possible. We put the "can't" ideas firmly and deliberately up on the shelf and await in child-like trust that when I allow It, it is always Good, efficient, inspired even magical.....and then the "real world" is pretty darn good too.

Now...Breathe!!! That's it. You can ...allow...It...in. Say Hello, for pitisake, It is YOU.
